The RoboCop slot machine is based on the popular series of films from the late eighties and early nineties. The dystopian universe of the films has been replaced by a more upbeat look, and the game has an 80s feel. The colours are kept in shades of blue and small, and it is hard not to recognise the expression of the colourful period. Unfortunately, you won’t find a gangplank among the symbols.
The slot machine seems quite simple and accessible at first glance, but under the surface there is a sea of extra features and bonus games that make the game extremely modern. The symbols are of course familiar characters from the RoboCop universe; RoboCop, the police officer Anne Lewis and the director of the OCP Dick Jones. One can always argue whether RoboCop is a superhero in the classic sense, but the fact is that he meets up to several of the official requirements.
As mentioned, the game is packed with extras. The Shootout free play feature gives you 10 free spins, and the Robot Attack free play feature also gives you free spins. The Line-up feature gives you a whopping 15 free spins with extra multipliers, and finally the OCP Mega Bonus feature gives you the chance to match three of a kind for a pretty nice win.
Batman v Superman – Dawn of Justice
Batman and Superman are two of the most popular superheroes ever. That’s why it was set up to be one hell of a movie when the two behemoths collided in the 2016 Hollywood blockbuster Batman v Superman – Dawn of Justice. The film was star-studded; Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne, Jeremy Irons, Holly Hunter and Gal Gadot. Despite the impressive ensemble, the film didn’t quite live up to expectations and the question is whether the slot of the same name does any better? It certainly does!
The three wild symbols are not surprisingly the main characters Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman. They are accompanied by Lois Lane, Alfred J. Pennyworth and Lex Luthor.
The game is set in Metropolis (familiar from the Superman universe) and the symbols include a variety of effects from the two universes: Kryptonite, Daily Planet newspapers, cameras, Granny’s Peach Tea, Wonder Woman sword and shield, and of course Batmobiles.
If you’re lucky enough to have our two superheroes Batman and Superman collide on the same roll, the bonus game is triggered. In the bonus game you have to choose whether you want to be Batman or Superman, and great prizes are awarded if you defeat your opponent. The Dawn of Justice bonus game is also mighty nicely done, so you can look forward to some extra features that take the gameplay to a whole new level.
Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is a jackpot slot, and tied up with the rather attractive DC Comics jackpot pool. You can win a total of four jackpots, the largest of which at the time of writing stands at just under £6 million. It is thus a slot that appeals to both players who like excellent gameplay and those who prefer to go for the big win. All in all, it is an excellent game.
